A 3-day safari package combining Selous Game Reserve and Nyerere National Park in Tanzania would provide an excellent opportunity to experience the diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes of these two incredible conservation areas.

- Arrive at the designated airstrip or lodge in Selous Game Reserve, either by scheduled flight or private charter from Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar.
- Meet your safari guide and embark on a game drive en route to your chosen accommodation.
- After lunch and some relaxation time, head out for an afternoon boat safari on the Rufiji River, the largest river in Tanzania, to observe hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of birdlife.
- Return to the lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.
- Start the day with an early morning game drive in Selous to witness the wildlife activity during the cooler hours when animals are more active.
- Explore different areas of the reserve, seeking out the diverse wildlife that includes elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, and numerous antelope species.
- Enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the reserve, surrounded by nature and wildlife.
- After the game drive, transfer to Nyerere National Park, previously known as the Selous Game Reserve, which was upgraded to a national park status in 2019.
- Arrive at your lodge or camp in Nyerere National Park, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.
- After breakfast, set out for a thrilling guided walking safari in Nyerere National Park. Walking safaris offer a unique perspective, allowing you to get closer to nature and observe the smaller details of the ecosystem.
- Accompanied by an experienced armed ranger and a knowledgeable guide, explore the park on foot, learning about its flora, fauna, and wildlife tracks.
- Return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation time before departing for your onward journey.
- Depending on your departure arrangements, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, or another destination.
